Hello Anglers,

Hello angler's, We are back out! Our boat work went very well with quit a few upgrades to the boat. One of the biggest was the installation of two new electronic generators. We took out our old 150 KW gen. sets and put in two new electronic John Deere 6081 generators which put out 165 KW. With those getting put in we eliminated the smoke out of the exhaust, as well as quit a bit of old wiring. We also put new fiberglass exhaust throughout the engine room which keeps the engine room much cooler. In the fish holds we put the coils along the sides of the well instead of on the bottom where they were before. This does a few things, one of which is it helps us get the well colder faster whether it is for fresh fish in the RSW or if we need to bring the temp. down to 10 degrees to freeze the fish. The other thing that this does is keeps bait from getting trapped under the coils which in turn could kill a whole tank of bait if it was kept there long enough. The galley and a few selected staterooms and heads got a full facelift with new wallpaper, paint and carpet. The galley turned out beautiful with a warm blue wallpaper throughout. We also put some new mirrors in the heads as well as a couple of new shower doors. On the outside of the boat we painted the bait tank, the back of the house, the portague bridge, and the bulwarks all the way around the boat and the transom, the bench upstairs, all of the wood on the upper deck got a few coats of varnish, and finally the deck. The rest of the boat was buffed out and looks like it just rolled out of the showroom floor. The other thing that we added this year was a certified digital scale that we will have on the boat on all trips over 8 days. This will allow passengers to get a weight on a fish before it gets gilled and gutted for the RSW. It will also help on getting jackpot taken care of faster. We will check in through out the trip and let you all know what goes on down here. We are headed for the rocks and will be there the morning of the 16th. Shawn and the crew

Hello Anglers,

Today was another day with good weather. In the morning hours we saw good sign of big fish and managed 17 of them and they were from 130 to 247 pounds. The big fish was caught by Tom Howe of Las Vegas who used a live skipjack on a 100 foot 100 pound wind on by Basil and a Eagle Claw 9014 in a 9\0 size. The fish taped out at 247 but it is a very fat fish...... Read More
