Hello Anglers,
Today we tried our hand at the big yellowfin. On a 8 day trip this is an opportunity of a life time for some of these angler's. Last night we got everybody prepared and this morning we saw a spot of fish on the meter so we stopped and Walter Ozawa ended up hooking and landing a 185 pound yellowfin he caught on a mackerel. The afternoon was tough for us as the weather was getting choppy we had a hard time locating the fish. We finally found a spot that cooperated a little and we hooked four fish and only landed one of them, a 195 pound yellowfin for Ron Honda which he caught on a mackerel and 100 pound line. The other fish we hooked broke the lines and the hearts of the angler's pulling on them. All in all the fleet did good on 200 pound fish again today. The Qualifier 105 had 8 fish today and 6 of them were over 200 pounds, The Shogun landed a 250 pound fish, the Vagabond picked up 3 fish over 200 pounds, and the Royal Polaris and the Independence picked up fish to 190 pounds. The opportunity we have here is great and being able to try for fish like this on 8,9,and 10 day trips is just incredible, I can't wait for our long trips when we have extended time on these fish to put together a super catch. If anybody is interested we have openings on two 15 day ride down, ride back trips. The first one leaves Jan. 6, 2006 and returns Jan. 21, 2006. The second trip departs on Jan. 25, 2006 and returns Feb. 9, 2006. If these dates fit your schedule call the EXCEL office at (619)-223-7493 and book a trip. We will get back to you all tomorrow. Shawn and the crew
