Hello Anglers,
Yesterday we had a very good day of big albacore fishing with a few 40 to 50 pound yellowfin mixed in. Our weather was flat calm and the passengers pretty much stopped fishing at around 1630 and started on cocktails and clean up. We arrived at the landing this morning and weighed up jackpot. 1ST PLACE: Bill Benson with a 114.4 pound yellowfin tuna 2ND PLACE: Bob Jacobs with a 100 pound yellowfin 3RD PLACE: Woody Smith with a 93.8 pound yellowfin Honorable mention goes to Dan Perno with a 118.2 pound yellowfin tuna. What a wonderful day we had today on big tuna and yellowtail. Tuna up to 100 pounds and yellowtail to 45 pounds and we caught the majority of the fish came in on fly lined sardines.At one point we had 5 to 8 fish going but we were only landing half of what we were hooking.
