Hello Anglers,
We spent the day looking for a few yellowtail and ended up with a few handfuls of 18 to 25 pound yellows. We tried both Cedros and Benitos just to cover them and the best ticket was the jigs on 40 pound line. After it was all said and done we put together a beautiful trip with good action and variety of fish. Another plus was the flat calm weather we had all trip long. With the fishing we had last year this time of year people lose perspective of what these fall trips are all about. Variety, and the time to fish different areas during a time of year when the weather is typically good to us. We had all of the above along with the opportunity at a couple of big tuna. There was good enough sign of bigger fish around, it's just getting them on a good day when they want to cooperate. Hopefully soon!!!! The Excel gang
