"Today was a day that all avid offshore anglers can only dream about" said the report from American Angler June 15. "Reasonably calm weather, full moon, a diligent crew with binos (binoculars) plastered to their face all day and bluefin tuna willing to bite is a combination that cannot be beat. That is what we enjoyed today as we had great action to the tune of 119 fish that averaged 25 to 35 pounds with a few standout 50l-pounders.
On deck it all seemed to come around easy but those in the know realize that it is not. Our dedicated crew conquered the morning's chill with gloves and they had the last laugh putting us on numerous batches of biting fish. Joe Skinner is pictured with his new outfit from Kens Custom Reels as his face describes the fun had by all."
