Hello Anglers, We awoke this morning to discover that the weather, although still not great, had backed off considerably. Always a good sign. We started our day off in the same area we fished the morning before to see if we could get on some of the action we had yesterday. Things werent looking so great, as we werent getting much reaction out of the fish that were around, but they just needed a little time to get with it. We made a short move and dropped the anchor around a nice area of birds and with good current we were able to have really steady action from late morning through afternoon snack time. When describing good yellowtail bites we frequently say that "they were biting everything" but thats exactly what happened. Flylined baits, dropper loops, yo yo irons, and surface jigs all got hammered. There is definitely a good sign of fish here. So, like I saying, about mid to late afternoon is when we lost our current and the bite turned off like a switch. We spent the last couple hours of daylight pulling some bass out of the weeds. Since we got our quota of yellows we will be going offshore tomorrow is search of some tuna. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619)223-7493 to get in on the action.

Today our hunting paid off by morning and we had some good yellowtail action at the island. The afternoon was a different story, conditions changed and the sign of fish went away. We are spending the night and are working towards another big morning....... Read More

Hello Anglers, This morning we departed on an open 6 day trip after having a few days in. We untied the boat around 0800 and after loading bait were clear of Point Loma around 1000. Our weather report shows unfavorable weather offshore so we plan on heading down the beach to try our luck at some yellows. We will keep you posted....... Read More
