With 226 anglers on 10 boats Channel Islands Sportfishing Center had a great Sunday. The Mirage scored big with limits of whitefish for 19 anglers and only 6 short of rockfish limits. Mix in some nice outer islands lings and we have an epic trip. The Ranger 85 scored big with 40 lingcod on its 2-day trip and put 2 nice halibut on deck as well. Our local boats Cobra, Sea Jay, Erna B, Channel Isle and Aloha Spirit have scored nice on Reds with a total of 370 red snapper for the day. We got reports of white seabass being metered but no takers yet. We really expect this season to take off any day now.
