Stripers are the ticket at New Hogan Lake
5-22-2011
Bruce Hamby
Hogan's striper bite remains steady. We're averaging 4 to 7 fish per day in the 5 to 6 lbs. class. The striped bass are very scattered throughout Wrinkle Cove, South Bay and the dam area.
We have been picking up most of our fish 10 to 30 feet. Our method of take is trolling shad, anchovies and herring marinated in Pro Cure scent. Lake levels is holding steady with surface temperatures 68.7 degrees.
Doug Poor of Plymouth boated these 4 hefty bass on a short, early morning outing with me.
