THE PUERTO MORELOS SPORTFISHING REPORT FOR THE MARINA EL CID FLEET

Wow! What a fabulous fishing report from Puerto Morelos and the Marina El Cid Sportfishing Fleet, reflecting some 14 different species, (not counting several different species of snapper). This past week was very busy for the boats and the anglers were well rewarded with an incredible mixed-bag catch. The boats, reporting in for 35 combined fishing days reflected 4 dorado, 6 wahoo, 24 king mackerel, 39 bonito, 22 tuna, 1 shark, 4 amberjack, 46 snapper, 42 triggerifsh, 3 mero, 7 soapfish, 18 grouper and 1 porgy and 18 Spanish mackerel.

PM Climate:
Partly cloudy with intermittent sunshine periods and warm, comfortable days and evenings. Temps varied from 62 nights to 83 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions:
Water temps remained at 79-80 degrees and excellent water clarity and mostly light and variable surface breezes.

Best Lure/Bait:
Continues to be the rigged and un-rigged ballyhoo for this area.

Bait Supply:
Excellent! Good quantities of freshly caught ballyhoo available for each fishing day.
