Conditions changed today - the morning was a repeat of a very nice pick on beautiful grade Yellowtail...until the afternoon. The big change was the fact that the big hit on YFT's never came - we ended the day with 12 Yellowfin Tuna.
However, the bonus of today was this season's first Rocks-produced 100lber (to our knowledge) - Brad Lemoine caught a 103lb Yellowfin. Also gaining trophy status was Ralfy Perez with his 91lb jackpot contender, which is appropriate because he, his brother Ruben and friend Miguel have been on this 8 day adventure since the trip's inception.
We left this afternoon in search of an island......

The highlight of the day was the 66.5lb Yellowtail caught by regular, Richard Johnson. To top off things off, there was just a light breeze for nice fishing weather. What a great day, The Gang P.S. We arrived at the Rocks after lunch, and conditions were iffy but still we were able to start picking a few tuna fish. Along with all of our sport chalet regulars, there are a few guys new to this mixed in the group and they very quickly got an advanced lesson on hectic tuna fishing. We had an hour and a half flurry where we boated several 30 - 50lb Yellowfin Tuna. But then unfortunately, they departed as quickly as they found...... Read More
