The trout bite has been average but should improve with Wednesday's plant. Efrin Lopez had the largest trout of the week at 7.70#s. It was caught on a nightcrawler on Senior Shoreline. The best spots for trout over the past week have been in Oakvale Cove and on Senior Shoreline. The best baits have been powerbait and/or powerworms, greens or yellows are the most popular colors, or inflated nightcrawlers.

The bass are spawning and our readily being caught in tight to shore. Hayden Heck and Kelsey Kennedy, both youngsters, each weighed in 5#+ bass this week caught and released on Senior Shoreline. Young master Heck caught his fish on a plastic worm. The best baits for bass have been swimbaits, and dark colored plastics. They prefer rocky outcropping and bite most frequently in the early mornings and late afternoons.
