On The Spot

3-22-2011
Bill Roecker

"Royal Polaris is at one of its favorite long range fishing spots," said the report from March 21, "and it sure didn't disappoint, that is if you like Wahoo. We couldn't troll more than 10 minutes without a hook up; then they bit on bait and lures until our Line One Cronies ran out of daylight and gas! I believe the word that describes it best is "limits". What a great fish; fast and feisty and great table fare too! Our weather was nice, blue skies, some breeze and the water was crystal blue with superb visibility. After fantastic beef short ribs and yams for supper we caught bait. Tomorrow we will focus on Yellowfin tuna fishing."
