American Angler has arrived on the southern fishing grounds, and Royal Polaris is on her way south. After a good day Tuesday of run and gun fishing on bird schools, Intrepid has finished her current trip. Here's her report for Wednesday, February 9: "Our last morning out on the grounds was another productive one on fish in the 120 to 200-pound range. We did suffer five heartbreaks on cows, though. For whatever the reason, hooks pulling, connections, or just mean-spirited fish, these tuna won their freedom after long battles. This trip had its share of heartbreaks and has left anglers with many stories of big fish that simply would not give up. We all love to see every one of them hit the deck, but honestly, as frustrating as it is to see them get away, it is rewarding and puts a smile on our faces to know that Giant Yellowfin will battle to the end and live on to fight again another day. We are now headed up the line in beautiful conditions."
