Fish close to the beach in La Paz
Inshore species continued to be the mainstay with jack crevalle, sierra, yellow snapper, big eye jacks and some smaller roosterfish primarily. However, there were some other reasons to be optimistic as well. Some of the large pargo were hooked...and lost (which is not unusual) but at least we know the big boys are around. As well, we had some really trophy sized cabrilla taken (seabass) and finally a few of the larger homeguard moss-back-style yellowtail. All in shallow water not too far from shore. Literally within 50 yards off the rocky areas around Punta Perrico.
