We had a great couple of days out on the water last weekend. We spent our first day down around 100 miles fishing anywhere from 115ft. to 270ft. The conditions where not ideal however we were still able to scratch up 143 reds, 21 lings, and 45 other mixed cods. The weather was beautiful and with quality of bottom fish we were able to catch it made for a really great day. Day 2 was spent closer to home. Conditions were similar to the day before however we were able to put together another fine day. Day 2 was also spectacular due to the incredible amount of Fin Whales in the area feeding on krill. Although the krill is what was making our fishing tougher than normal it was the reason we had such spectacular Fin Whale viewing. All in all it was a great trip. We ended up with about 370 mixed cod and 33 lingcod for our 23 anglers.

We have an extended 2.5 day trip this week leaving friday at 1pm. We will be heading down towards San Martin. This trip is ideal because it gives us two full days of fishing. Plus the early departure will get us down in some prime areas by first light saturday morning. Also coming in March we will be running 1.5 day trips every weekend. These trips will be taking us down to Colnett. These are very good trips. We almost always have good rock cod fishing as well as the occasional yellowtail. The cod fishing down the Baja coast really is a thing of beauty and must be experienced.
