Royal Polaris Sportfishing Trip Update (021311)

FIRST DAY FISHING (021311)!!! As scheduled we arrived at our destination and began trolling for Wahoo around 1:30 this afternoon. I can't honestly say we set the world on fire but for less than a half day of fishing, we made our presence known. We ended up with 25 Wahoo and 11 Tuna for our efforts. A couple of the Wahoo were jumbos, and the Tuna ranged from around 75 to 164 lbs. Biggest was caught by Peter Douglas, one of the regulars who fishes with his fellow retired Dr., Tom Neuman who was right behind him with a Tuna around 150. So far Peter is having a very lucky trip. He won a prize on the first day raffle, his number was drawn to be first on the kite (where he got another nice tuna), and he got himself a couple of Wahoo today to boot. The other half of the French connection was heard from today when Claude Mangeot landed a very tuna also. Claude would like to send an international shout out (cool, huh!) all the way to France. Don't ask me to translate but "coucou Elodie, we have big fun on board", Kiss, Claude.
Don't know about the first part, but he's right about having big fun! We're now trying for a tank of fliers and we'll give it heck again tomorrow.
POEM OF THE DAY:
The officer was perfectly clear
Pay a fine or in court you'll appear
While leisurely feeding
The Hoo was clocked speeding
And he wasn't even out of first gear!
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
