PACIFIC DAWN SFR 2 DAY CHARTER

9-18-2010
Don Padick

The SFR two day charter aboard Captain Pat Cavaughn's Pacific Dawn sportfisher left the docks from Fisherman's Landing marina in San Diego on Friday night Sept 18. The fishing on day one was very tough as heavy boat traffic took its toll by keeping the fish down. Two nice yellowfin tuna were landed as well as one stripped marlin that hit a cedar plug trolled behind the boat. Day two saw less boat traffic in the fishing zone and we were able to get a few more fish to the boat. Light line, flouro leaders and small hooks were the key to getting bit. Fourteen nice quality yellowfin tuna and one bluefin tuna hit the decks. Doug Lerma's nice 35 lb plus yellowfin tuna took jackpot honors for day 2 while long time SFRer Wilmer nabbed day 1 JP honors, way to go guys. Captain Cavanaugh's crew are always top notch and the Pacific Dawn is looking good. Thanks again for all their hard work. Check the Pacific Dawn website at or call Fisherman's Landing at 1-619-221-8500 for their full fall schedule.
