She bagged her big boy on a sardine and a 3/0 Gamakatsu J hook. She fished with 40-pound Seaguar fluorocarbon leader, 40-pound Big Game line and 80-pound Line One Spectra on an Avet LX reel and a GRUSA Monster Mag 85 rod. "He fought for about a half-hour," she said. "He bit after a long soak and stayed on the port side. About halfway through the fight he got tailwrapped. He came up midship."
