Lake Sabrina Fishing Report

8-8-2010
Lake Sabrina Boat Landing Staff

Department of Fish and Game stocked 1000 pounds of some very nice size fish on Tuesday and Lake Sabrina Boat Landing stocked 'your favorite' Alpers on Friday. Just flip out a NightCrawler or a little ball of PowerBait and enjoy the scenery.

Temperatures seem to be cooling down a bit at night. In fact, had a back-packer come out Sunday and they had thunder-snow in the back-country Saturday. The temps at the Lake are to be in the low 70s for highs and in the high 40s for lows. You can check www.weather.gov and enter Aspendell, CA on the site and it will give you a fairly good hint at the weather or check in with Howard at www.MammothWeather.com .

All USFS campgrounds are now open. The price this year to camp at the Forest Service campgrounds are $21.00. The only USFS campground that accepts reservations is Four Jeffery. There are 31 sites available for reservations: you can book on-line at www.recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777. All other campsites at Four Jeffery and the other campgrounds are first come, first served. There is a full hook-up RV campground - Creekside RV park which is on the road to South Lake. It's nice to have a bit of a breeze as that is all it takes to blow them away. Don't forget the bug juice. Remember your polarized dark glasses and sunscreen. Always wash your hands after applying sunscreen, bug juice or any other fu-fu juice.

Lake Sabrina Boat Landing has gone to summer hours. We are open daily at 7:00am and stay open until 7:00pm. The Café is now open daily for Breakfast at 7:00am to 11:00am with Lunch being served from 11:00am to 4:00pm. We have homemade pie, sodas, beer, wine, coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The Lake Sabrina crew is looking forward to seeing you all this year.
