Bayside Marine
The Salmon fishing is still on the slow side but the few fish that are being caught are big. I weighed in 2 fish over 30 pounds from the Soquel Hole. The best bet is to work from 36'51/121'57 to 36'52/122'02 in 220-300 feet of water. The Salmon were caught from 80-220 feet down today trolling Purple Haze Kajikis, R.S.K.'s, B2 Bombers, and Watermelon Apexes. The wind was not bad on the Salmon grounds until 1:00 in the afternoon. The inshore fishing was good for the Rockcod anglers who worked near Natural Bridges and South Rock. The Halibut bite is still going good for a few anglers who are working the area near the Harbor and in Capitola. The anglers who are doing best are trolling in 45-60 feet of water with dead Squid. Stop by the shop and I will show you the way to troll for these Halibut.
