STARDUST FISHING SANTA ROSA ISLAND
3-15-2010
Edgar Ylanan
John Thompson and I fished the Stardust out of Sea Landing in Santa Barbara last Sunday. I met Captain Luke and the crew. I tell you, they run a first class operation there. We went to Santa Rosa Island. It was little windy and bumpy but fishing was great. Captain Luke knows all the good spots and we got our limits in a hurry. Crew Dean and Sal were helping everyone on every drift. They were always there putting fish away for you. Chef Casey cooks this Ultimate Burgers and Tri-tips sandwich. They were unbelievable. You should check it out. Full menu breakfast meals were great too. All in all, Stardust is a great boat. This is my first time to fish this boat and I was really impressed. Our final count for 33 anglers: 30 Vermilion Rockfish, 300 Rockfish, 7 Ocean Whitefish, 1 Diamond Turbot. STARDUST runs ? day trips from Monday to Thursday departing 9 am to 3 pm and runs three quarter day trips from Friday to Sunday leaving at 7 am to 4 - 5 pm. Please check their website at www.stardustsportfishing.com or give them a call at the Sea Landing at 805-963-3564 for reservations or any other information. Thanks again to Captain Luke and his excellent crew for an awesome day on the water. Also thank you to Captain Jason Diamond for letting me fish his boat. Keep it up guys.
