Channel Isle

Jeff Grodin
This year has started w/ A bang @ Captn Hooks. No Longer will traditional Channel Islands fishing runs take rank!! As the landing adapts to economy, closures, and most importantly fishing conditions, we are proud to denounce the traditional 1/2 day run(9-3) and Announce the Channel Isle's new run of 9-5. The prices will remain the same as the traditional 9-3 run at $50 adult $45 child/military and seniors but the benefit to our 9-5 Channel Isle customer is two more hours of fishing with a better chance of an afternoon bite not an afternoon ride home. Captain Joe Villareal and Captain Shawn Steward, new owners of the Channel Isle, have given her a new name from her former name, City of Redondo, since the only thing left is her lines on the rail. Everything has been updated appropriately and with a 60 scoop bait tank, improved seating, modern electronics, and of course, the most important of all, a new skipper named Jordan Richard. Jordan's background includes working with Captain Shawn under Jack Ward and other local Oxnard area boats, leaving the area to work on the most customer satisfaction orientated long range vessel in the San Diego fleet, EXCEL. He's going to bring his local knowledge and customer satisfaction training to this new run.
