The unofficial start of the southern California fishing season is finally here, It's the Fred Hall Fishing Tackle and Boat Show at the Long Beach Convention Center March 3 through 7. That will be followed two weeks later with the Del Mar Fred Hall Show March 24 to 28.
Monday marks the start of the southern California rockfish season. Be sure to consult the fish and game regulation for specifics on what and where you can fish. The rockfish will be a welcome addition to our "spring" fishing season as so far things have been rather slow, but look for the action to heat up soon. The water temperature is unusually warm. The experts are predicting an early seabass and yellowtail season at the islands and along the coast, so stay tuned to Let's Talk Hook-up and we will keep you informed. The giant squid fishing slowed way down, but there are still a few "sea monsters" being caught on the twilight trips from the local landings.

John will be in the studio with Pete and Rick talking about his incredible resort in baja's east cape and Bart will broadcast live from the pre set up at the Long Beach Convention Center for the big show.
