Another interesting fishing week from Puerto Morelos that produced a
9 fish variety for the anglers. According to Armando Gutierrez,
Fleet Manager, most of the fishing days were cloudy but the seas were
pretty good and remained calm throughout the week. The boats fished
a total of 14 outings that reflected 14 king mackerel, 1 wahoo, 1
amberjack, 8 Atlantic barracuda, 4 red snapper, 4 triggerfish, 11
bonito, 14 grouper and 1 Sierra.
PM Climate: Mostly cloudy days with some scattered showers in the
evenings, temps from 63 nights to 85 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: A fairly calm week with light tropical surface winds
and a stable sea temp of 80 degrees.
Best Bait: Continued to be the rigged and un-rigged ballyhoo,
locally caught.
