Yellowfin pick up the pace

Hi folks! Weather today consisted of 15 to 18 knots of breeze out of the north west with some overcast throughout the day. As to how the fishing went today, I guess you would say even a blind dog in a meat market can find a bone now and then. We caught 75 Yellowfin tuna today from 70 to 150 pounds. Largest fish today was caught by Chico Leonard. Most of the fish were in the 70 to 90 pound category with about 6 going over 100 pounds. Enjoy the photos, the R/p crew.

He folks! Our weather was absolutely beautiful. Sunny and relatively flat seas. Fishing continued to be extremely poor as we continued to focus on big fish for a half dozen boils and no bitters. We certainly hope to make it a better day tomorrow as we will fish a different area where some of the other boats are catching 60 to 85 pound fish with an occasional over a hundred. Hi folks! Weather in the morning was still quite rough, but by late afternoon our weather had improved substantially. Fishing for us today was quite poor again. We hooked 2 Yellowfin and landed 1 fish. It was caught by Jim Borders and weighed 246 pounds. We have not given up on the big fish and with the weather improving will give it another go tomorrow.
