SHOGUN UPDATE!!! 12/06/2009
12-6-2009

The weather gods continue to smile upon us today as we continue on home. A very relaxing day in beautiful seas and partly cloudy skies. A marathon matinee on the big screen had a strong turn out. Today's pictures feature some of the fish we see when we fish the Southern waters, rainbow runner, amberjack, and Popeye catalufa.
Fishing For a Living... The Shogun crew....
Hi everyone, Bruce here. I would like to add a couple of things that I saw on this trip that concerns tackle. If you are on the upcoming trips that could go to the lower areas remember that sharks take a toll on your tackle. Go out to your favorite tackle shop and purchase two extra packages of 7/0 and 8/0 size Super Mutu's or comparable hook. Another thing is, remember that a 20 foot long top shot of fluorocarbon doesn't last very long under tough or busy fishing conditions and you don't always need fluoro, so have some regular mono leaders on hand to save yourself some money.
