Costa Rica Tuna Bite.
If you are into Tuna, this is looking like a tuna year. Just about every boat out fishing off-shore is returning with Tuna reports. My friend Christian on the new Maverick has been seeing a lot of 80+ lb Tuna on the deck the last week or so. Not a lot of sailfish showing yet but we did 8 last week one day out of Los Suenos .A lot of Dorado and Tuna.

Yesterday we were fishing with Dale on the Blue Water 3 and picked up 4 Sailfish and a couple of Dorado. I had a group down from D.C. staying out at Pt. Leona in a private house having way to much fun. 2 hot tub's and a very large pool out over the cliff's awesome location. They are scheduling there February trip as I wright this.

Today is the big day for the tournament, we have 16 anglers and 4 boats the Blue Water 3,Es- Spardo,Sailfish Bill and the Good Day Too. A Marlin is worth 150 points, Sailfish 100 and Dorado or tuna is 50 points. We are going to give out the prices at the Sportsman's Lodge in San Jose tonight. I expect to see a lot of Tuna and Dorado's today along with some Sailfish.

Ok I talked to a couple more captain's last night and there are all doing about the same 4-12 Dorado per-day along with 2-8 sailfish. Then in the last couple of days there has been a few more Marlin showing up with a couple of releases yesterday out of Los Suenos. The guy's that fished Roosters this week in Golfito had a blast and all landed several fish. We hope to have good fishing this week-end in the tournament.

Well the drive to Golfito proved out to be worth it as the first day we landed 12 Dorado and 2 for 2 on sailfish. The second day wasn't quite as productive but we still loaded up on Dorado and got a couple more sail's. We were hoping to find some of the Tuna that have been out there but the blue water was a long way out. We are enjoying the fresh Maui-Maui back at Morgan's cove in Jaco and I will be fishing Rooster fish this coming Friday.

Costa Rica Quepos.
Well we went on down to Quepos and spent a day on the water with my good friend Dave. Fishing had been very good 2 days before but Saturday was a little slow. We shared the boat with another couple from Florida and let the wife go first with a nice 30+ lb Bull Dorado. Then a few minutes later we raised a nice blue Marlin but again no success on a solid hook-up. So for now my dad has fished 2 day sin Costa Rica with 2 good shots at Marlin but no hook-up. Tomorrow we are back in Los Suenos and hopefully we can get him hook-up.

Costa Rica Los Suenos.
Well as you would expect for the first day out in October. We had a chance at a Marlin with out a successful hook up but was nice to see. We then proceeded to a dozen or more shot's at Dorado. I have my father down for the first time ever to try his luck at a Bill fishing and we totally wore him out, about the 7th or 8th Dorado he said no thanks one of you guy's take it. We did see a nice sailfish jumping at the end of the day but no luck getting him to bite. We will be back out on the water tomorrow down south out of Quepos as we got some good reports of 1 or 2 Marlin yesterday and even a few Wahoo.
