Puerto Morelos Fish Report- Marina El Cid, Cancun to Cozumel Area
11-19-2009
Larry Edwards
Another week of fun fishing and a wide spectrum of smorgasbord
variety from Puerto Morels, that included another early season
sailfish for a lucky angler that fished an 8-hour day. Overall
reports for a combined 14 fished days reflected 1 sailfish, 6 king
mackerel, 7 red snapper, 9 bonito 3 queenfish, 1 dorado and 20
Atlantic barracuda.
PM Climate: Comfortably pleasant fishing days with partly cloudy
skies and temps from 67 nights to 87 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Sea temps stable at 82-83 throughout the area,
excellent clarity and light, tropical surface breezes.
Best Bait/Lure: Rigged and un-rigged ballyhoo continue to be the
most productive for this area and we have never experienced a lack of bait.
