East Walker River Fish Report 05-08-2007

The East Walker is fishing excellent, both on the Cali and Nevada sides of the border. Both the private and public sections of the Nevada side are fishing well with lots of 14" to 18" browns and rainbows. Micro stones, hotwire may's, san juan worms, etc. on the Nevada side, and they're still taking some stimi's on the surface. On the Cali side they're liking blood midge patterns like a red-headed stepchild, straight blood midge, red copper john, as well as wd-40's, hotwire may's, micro may's, etc. They are also picking up some streamers. Below is a photo of a killer 23" male caught and released by Tom Farley on a big streamer his neighbor tied for him.
