From Royal Star Sportfishing
Fish Report for 10-16-2025

Working up in choppy seas prospects were slim as dawn broke. By late morning an ease in conditions opened the door and the boys set to looking for flotsam as we ploughed up the line. In the end our good fortune continued as several kelps found produced fine opportunities on both offshore wahoo and a fantastic grade of "ball slapper" dorado many of which crested the "chin slapper" mark. Incredible fun and yet another perfect example of long range fishing fall style. Variety is the hallmark of these voyages that motivates anglers to return year after year. One never knows what this amazing ocean will produce in these zones during the Fall. But we know it will be good. Mother son duo Debbie and Michael Tovar are having a great first trip with us on Royal Star catching yellowfin and these dandy dorado yesterday and a couple days prior!
