"You can't hit a homerun without swinging". As such I wouldn't classify this result as a strikeout. We took a great rip at a perfect pitch and missed; simple as that. A few straggling giants tortured us with cavernous boils around the boat and regular swim throughs on the meter but they had our number. No bites. Done with that crap by early afternoon we left the bank for a shot at something better offshore. Throwing in the towel at sundown tomorrow we'll recalibrate seeking action offshore and along the ridge above.
