Today on the Black Pearl, SAC outreach charter. Brought a class from Fresno deep sea fishing for an all inclusive trip (covered boat, rental rods, licensing and meals) for many of the high schoolers first time deep sea fishing. 36 anglers included NOAA science crew, kids, 4 CCA Morro Bay members to help kids on deck. Merit McCrea was aboard for trip hook and handing and putting the kids on fish. Amazing trip with great weather, plenty of chaperones helping with kids. Trip culminated with a camping trip at the state park with a group fish fry and fish dissections the next day with NOAA crew at fish cutting station. Pearl proud to be part of such a wonderful program. Wish more schools would incorporate Nice selection of reds, chili peppers, and Boccaccio for their efforts.
