The river is beginning to show some reduced visibility up below the dam. The turbidity spiked yesterday and is on a clearing trend again. When this happens the best strategy is to fish larger, dark nymphs and streamers like the TJ Hooker, Rubberlegs and leeches. Otherwise, Olive Hotspots, Sweet Peas, and Frenchies were working well last week. If you are lucky enough to be on the river during the evening, your best chance for dry fly action will be towards the edges. The good news is the fish feel super comfortable and can be caught right at your feet. To reserve a day with one of our expert guides to experience one of the most picturesque streams in the north state, call Chris or Bryan in Outfitters at 800-669-3474.
