Fishing Conditions

Spring means snowmelt on the upper Pine, so expect high and cold, but clear waters.  Fishing is not easy above Vallecito off Pine River Trail, but you will find solitude.

Below Vallecito, fishing has been pretty good with attractor nymphs (and dries).  Dry droppers or nymph rigs are a good option.

Nymphs:  Prince Nymphs 12-16, Brown Wired Stone 10, Copper John 12-18, Pats Rubberlegs. Pheasant Tails 16-20, Pickpocket 12-16, Duracell Jig 12-16, and other Euro Nymph Jigs 10-16.  San Juan Worms.

Dries: Stimulators or Chubbies (even in Spring).
