The Fly Shop
Recent reports have the Hex happening and some big fish are coming to the net for patient anglers all the way up past Zug Bug. For other hatches, a Trico spinner fall early in the morning followed up by the PMD fall. The small Angler's Curse are coming off along with PMDs, Baetis and Callibaetis. Bring your Adams assortment from #22 - 12 to cover everything. Bring some CDC Trico Spinners and Hackle Stacker Tricos for the morning and for the PMD fall in the morning bring your Rusty Spinners in #16, the PMD Challenged or #14 Last Chance Cripple in Pink Albert for the hatch. For PMD nymphs, the Jignation in PMD has been producing. Also, Blue Wing Olives are coming off in sufficient quantities you will want to fish some nymphs while you aren't head hunting. The light BP Weiss nymph can be productive. A variety of Pheasant Tail nymphs from size 12 up to 18 is always a good plan as well. For dries, you best chances will come in the morning with the spinners, and during the hatch probably around 10 or 11.
