We departed yesterday with a group of eager killers on a 4 day Phenix Rods trip. After a topper of sardines, a family meeting was in order to go over the basics and game plan for the adventure to come. To start the trip we aim the bow south where there's been excellent fishing on the school grade Bluefin. Quick leap and a jump we arrived on scene with plenty of sunlight to get the lay of the land. With promising sign throughout the afternoon we had high hopes to do some damage with the metal lures after the sun down. Sun down came and gone left us with a semi bitter taste but a little sample of what could be anyway. Almost one a round to start day one. We'll take it. 
 

We will be exploring a different zone today hoping to find some better grade fish to play with. Fingers crossed!
