Jeff Goodwin
Whiskeytown Lake is fishing very well and the bite is great! Limit style fishing for big Kokanee salmon is happening NOW! Most of the Kokanee are now 2 lbs. or better and the'll just keep growing through September before they start their fall spawning cycle. NOW is the time to schedule your Whiskeytown Lake Kokanee salmon fishing trip! If you are a private angler and have your own boat, Now is the time to get out on Whiskeytown for some great Kokanee fishing! Trolling Kokanee gear at 40-50' now is very effective! We also do tutorial trips for those of you that just want to learn more about firhing for Kokanee on one of California's best Kokanee fisheries!
Call or text Jaynie at our reservation desk Mon-Sat for more information and available dates to fish with our NPS permitted guide, Captain Jeff Brady! (530) 510-2925. Thank you!
