Sunday Funday - FAST AND FURIOUS into a GRINDER
5-12-2024
John P Seiler
We left the dock this morning at 6am to a completely different lake then yesterday, there were a few residual waves left over from Saturdays winds but nothing we couldn't handle. We ran back to where we left off on Saturday and sent the bandits back 60 to 75 back with a target speed of 2.8 to 3.0, it didn't take long to have our first fish on of the day. We made our way to 20 rather quickly, but the short strikes and dropped fish were beyond annoying. What we thought was going to be an early day turned into a grinder as once the winds backed off and the waves receded our bite vanished. We ground out 4 more fish before calling it a day taking 24 of there needed 36. The quality of the fish was there though as 2 were over 28" with another knocking on the door at 27.5. We also picked up a really nice 17" Smallmouth just shy of being legal to keep.
Whos ready to go fishing? FIVE - 30' boats serving 3 locations targeting 3 different species. WE FOLLOW THE FISH
