Lake Havasu Fishing Report

4-29-2024
Arizona Game & Fish Department

At Lake Havasu (report courtesy of Western Outdoor News), now’s the time to target large redear sunfish with a lot of slabs over 3 pounds reported every week. Shore pounders are connecting with some nice largemouth walking around London Bridge. Boaters including kayakers are having fun picking off smallmouth and largemouth by sight fishing for them with finesse baits in shallow, clear water. Some striped bass anglers are piling up 20-plus fish days, and a lot of that is going on throughout the north end on the California side. Chumming with anchovies will draw in schoolies that can be targeted with half ‘chovies on a drop-shot rig. The new Site Six launch ramp is in the water, and while there is more work to be done, it’s expected to be operational by May.
