Wohlford Lake Staff
The trout fishing has improved and they are catching fish along Senior Shoreline as well as the east end of the lake. Powerbait (yellows and greens), salmon eggs, and inflated nightcrawlers are some of the top baits
The Largemouth Bass are busy guarding their nests. They are most often caught using swimbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics.
Crappie have been scarce in tight to shore. They are more active in the early morning hours and on overcast days. Crappie respond well to mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
Catfish continue to be caught throughout the lake. Lake Wohlford cats prefer mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.
The carp are in the shallows spawning and making their usual ruckus.
