We have had a TON of snow melt the last few days! It’s been comfortably warm and sunny in the 70s during the day. It’s melting time… formerly bare aspen branches are blooming and spring snow runoff is prevalent.

 

Resort cabins, camping and roads are closed until LLR opener May 15. Please and thank you for respecting posted signs and private property as we work to repair and open up.

 

Lake - ice free and rapidly rising with snow melt, level has not reached the concrete boat launch yet

 

Lakeshore- accessible on foot on north/east/west ends; muddy on southwest/inlet area. Some snow remains in 1-3ft deep sections in shady areas.

 

Snow- advanced backcountry skiers, snowboarders & snowshoers are enjoying their last bit of snow time in canyon

 

Lundy Lake Rd - Paved road portion is accessible to boat launch. It is NOT passable on the dirt portion on west/resort side past the boat launch due to snow and runoff.

 

Camping - Lundy Lake Resort camping/cabins/roads on west/boat launch side is closed until we open May 15. Lundy Canyon County campground on East/dam side is open. As always, there is no free/dispersed camping/overnight use in Lundy Canyon.

 

Restrooms- No services available on west/boat launch/resort side. We recommend fishermen use the east/dam side of the lake for Fishmas as the lot is easily accessible and the public restroom is open there. There is NO restroom at the trailhead as the road is still impassible. Please use the dam pit toilet/Porta potty and practice #leavenotrace if visiting. Please, please please do NOT relieve yourself on the lakeshore + DO pack out your trash.

 

Parking- If you are coming to the west side to hike/ski, please park in the boat launch public parking area. Do not block or park in front of resort/resident buildings and roads.
