The main stem is dropping, but is still big and muddy flowing at 30,000 cfs Thursday. With no rain in the immediate forecast, it will continue to drop through next week but it doesn’t look like it will be down to a fishable level before the next storm. It will start to fish once it gets below 5,000 cfs.

Eel River: Predicted to drop through Sunday, before the next, smaller rise hits Monday
Eel River - South Fork: Will likely be high and off color all week
Van Duzen River: The Van Duzen peaked at nearly 11,000 cfs Wednesday evening and is back on the drop
Smith River: The Smith continues to be the lone bright spot, as well as fishable river, on the North Coast
Chetco River: Flows are expected to drop to low enough levels for side-drifting
