Local fisherman, Francisco Aguirre, caught a huge 34.1 lbs catfish from the senior shore with a mackerel!

The trout bite remains slow due to the staining from all the rains. In murky conditions having some scent on your bait can make all the difference. The first of two consecutive trout plants went in this week. Micetails, hook-up baits, powerbait (greens& yellows), along with inflated nightcrawlers are all doing well. Largemouth bass are being caught bordering the reed beds near senior shoreline. Bass are often intrigued by swimbaits, anything that looks like a crawdad, or dark colored plastics.
