Best bets for weekend fishing

Winter steelhead is a go, ice-fishing is … not so much.‌

  • Rivers along the coast are still high and muddy from recent storms. But they may be falling back in shape for the weekend.
  • The artic blast last weekend may have firmed up the ice in most places. But with warmer temperatures and rain on the way, conditions can deteriorate quickly. Please exercise extreme caution when venturing on to the ice.

Check out the zone reports for more information and options.‌

Time for winter steelhead

Rivers levels are high right now but once they start to drop, be ready to hit the water for winter steelhead. In the meantime, check out these tips for catching more winter steelhead.‌
