Quite a bit of rain, and later snow, dropped yesterday and Weaver Creek was adding a lot of color to the river. The flows this morning are on the drop and the river should be in good shape today above Douglas City for sure. It is Golden Stone time. Use a Solitude's TB Golden Stone, Mercer's Poxyback Golden Stone, or the Rolling Stone for your top fly. Mercer's Psycho Prince in purple or orange, Little Black Stones and Duracells will work for your dropper. Egg patterns will be a great choice if/when the river colors up. For the swing fisherman, it will be a good idea to put on your Skagit floating head with a tip to swing a black Burnt Chicken or Hoh Bo Spey. January is shaping up to be super!
