Lake Update

12-13-2023
J&J's Grizzly Store Staff

As of 3pm today, the lake is 80% full. The North end of the lake and the dam area are starting to freeze. Mallard Cove, Coot Bay, and Honker are all open water. I drove down Mallard Cove in 2 wd, no issues other than the monster dip that is hard to see. Did not drive down Coot. Honker Cove is snowy and icy. I drove down in 2wd but stoped near the shower building to take pictures and had to put in 4wd because the truck wanted to go sideways when I started again. Main road has a couple of icy areas. Bathroom at Mallard is open, bring your own tp.
REMEMBER The ice on the lake is not officially monitored. It is up to you to decide if the ice is safe for you and your family.

The lake will turn over and fish that reside at different depths will struggle if their portion of the water column has little to no oxygen."       She is...... Read More
