The Fly Shop
The river is fishing better as October as we near the end of October. The October Caddis hatch is going very well and you should bring a bunch of October Caddis Pupas to drift and swing. Yellow and orange Stimulators, Mercer's October Skater and the Sedgeback October Caddis would be good to throw in the afternoons through the evening. Other good flies to throw right now are Rubberlegs, brown or black in #6 or #8, Perdigons and Olive Hotspots. October is a great time to fish the McCloud!
