Fall classics

Variety day added exactly what fall ridge trips are about to an already fine catch of sub tropical gamesters. Variety both in methods and species provided all the classic “pot luck” of options ranging from casting wahoo jigs and bombs to dropper looping on the bottom. Pargo, yellowtail, wahoo, dorado, yellowfin, and even marlin gave it a go along with a bonus grouper or two. Ridge fishing at its finest - plenty of action and quality fish for the larder and plenty more released for the future. Taking full advantage of good southern fortune we pointed her north at days end. Seeking to expand the variety list, and gain some altitude in the face of pending weather, time and conditions in tomorrow’s zone of choice are on our side.

Today’s image features ace Pacific Queen crew member Meghan Fox with a dandy mid morning pargo.
