The New Lo-An returned from a 2 day trip with LIMITS (48) of Bluefin Tuna Most are 50-100 lbs with 9 at 100-200 lbs.


The Point Loma just added a full day offshore trip for Friday 9-22-23. Trip price is $240 and includes the mexican permit. The boat departs at 6 am and returns at 6pm (arrival time could be later). Please arrive at least 1 hour before departure. No passport or passport card needed. (BOOK HERE)

Recommended tackle for any of these trips would include a 30# live bait rod, 50# bait/jig rod and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100# for sinker rigs / knife jigs.

Local Trips:

The Daily Double offers ½ day trips departing every day at 8:30 AM. They have been fishing in the local kelp beds for Bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation. (Schedule)
 
The Mission Belle has full day trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail and Dorado. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)

FISH PROCESSING RESERVATIONS 
If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return to the dock. The Oceanside 95 caught 22 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Mako Shark on their Overnight private charter.  The Daily Double returned from their AM 1/2-Day trip with 44 Sculpin, 35 Sandbass, and 6 Whitefish. Saturday Afternoon Update The Daily Double PM 1/2 day had 38 Sand Bass and 5 Sheephead for their 9 anglers.  The Point Loma caught 36 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Dorado on their Full-Day trip with 18 anglers. The Mission Belle caught 22 Yellowfin Tuna and 4 Dorado on their Full-Day charter with 21 anglers.
