McCloud River Report
8-31-2023
The Fly Shop
The storm last Monday must have been a doozy, the turbidity gage on the lower river maxed out and has been dropping steadily and shows ~30 NTU as of this morning. The river is brown, this is not the glacial silt we have seen earlier in the year or last two seasons. We expect it will be some time before the river is worth a look below Lake McCloud. Keep an eye on the gage and when it is below 10, that will be go-time!
